" I have more than 40 years experience of working within the Adults & young people Social Care Sector and have extensive experience of working hands on within residential settings, providing respite/domiciliary care for individuals within their own homes and a qualified post 16 Special needs teacher. I funded and have managed the non profit Community Interest Group, Empowering Arts Support and Social Group for 10 years now which has over 60 people with additional needs accessing the service on a regular basis, who prior to offering this service they had no where else to go to socialise and receive support associated with their disabilities. I have been providing live in support for over 10 years for vulnerable adults and additional needs children/young people and work closely with the advocacy service in Peterborough. I have experience in working alongside people with mild to severe learning disabilities, Autism, Down Syndrome, dual sensory impairments, Profound and multiply Learning Disabilities and behaviour that is challenging. I am also trained to work with people who may have some medical issues such as epilepsy and Diabetes."
